Early in his career, he launched impactful initiatives such as a community Blood Bank and a Renal Dialysis Center for uninsured patients. Over the past 14 years, Dr. Nizar has mentored medical students globally and has dedicated time to mission trips, performing eye surgeries for those without access to essential care.

After relocating to the United States, he completed a fellowship in retinal imaging research at the Doheny Eye Institute in Pasadena, advanced to a Faculty position in the UCLA Department of Ophthalmology, and undertook rigorous training in General Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Duke University Medical Center. He later served as an Ophthalmology Resident at Duke University Eye Center.
