Dr. Tu treats the conditions a general eye clinic sees most, watching glaucoma over years of follow up and operating when a cataract has progressed far enough to affect daily life. That range comes from osteopathic medical training followed by a hospital based ophthalmology residency, which covered medical management and the operating room in equal measure. Board certification in ophthalmology followed that training.

Dr. Tu earned the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine with the class of 1997. Ophthalmology residency was completed at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center. Those years established the medical and surgical foundation the practice still runs on.
I want a patient to leave knowing exactly what is happening in their eyes and what we are going to do about it. Surgery is only worth doing when it gives someone back something they had lost.
